Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of Merchant Services products. This role defines product outcomes, sets strategic direction, and leads execution toward an end-state vision that delivers measurable business results and exceptional customer experiences.
The Senior Lead Product Manager leads and aligns cross-functional teams to build and enhance omni-channel payment experiences, ensuring products deliver clear customer value while meeting business objectives. This role is accountable for key business and customer metrics, as well as the supporting processes, policies, risk controls, and governance frameworks.
In this role, you will:
Advise experienced leadership to develop or influence business plans, business requirements, direct product design and implementation for complex business and technical needs
Oversee overall product management and strategic focus for the most technical, complex and diverse products and services
Lead the strategy and resolution of complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth understanding of potential synergies, opportunities companywide
Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale, and require consideration of global market dynamics, trends, regulatory impact, and risk management
Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are strategically focused for diverse product lines
Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating, upgrading technologies and vendor relationships
Engage with leaders, stakeholders, subject matter experts, scrum masters, project managers and delivery team companywide
Serve as an adept advisor to leadership
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product owner experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Merchant Services, payments, or merchant acquiring
Deep expertise in payment gateway and acquiring ecosystems, including settlement, funding, reconciliation, billing, fee-based programs, multi-currency/dynamic currency conversion, payment methods, and payment security (fraud management, PCI, encryption, tokenization)
Strong product management experience across the full lifecycle-from vision and ideation through design, execution, and go-to-market
Proven ability to translate product requirements into sequenced roadmaps and scalable platform capabilities
Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives and driving delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams
Demonstrated success in understanding customer and end-user needs and translating them into actionable product strategies and delivery plans
Strong background in business analysis, including eliciting use cases and requirements from stakeholders
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex, multi-dimensional concepts into clear insights, decisions, and executable actions
Ability to navigate dynamic environments with agility while orchestrating multiple priorities
Proven leadership and influence within a matrixed organization, with strong collaboration across all levels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex business and operational concepts
Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to query and analyze data to support decision-making
