- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with the Dean to develop strategic academic partnerships and collaborations with various entities, including academic, community, healthcare, and government organizations.
- Leadership and Vision Implementation: Provide effective leadership in implementing the vision, mission, strategic plan, and core commitments of the College of Nursing, while contributing to the development and maintenance of instructional programs through recruiting and retaining exceptional faculty and staff.
- Faculty Affairs Oversight: Direct and oversee all aspects of faculty affairs activities, promoting an inclusive and diverse faculty that aligns with the mission of the College.
- Environment Cultivation: Create and sustain an environment that fosters positive faculty and staff morale, academic rigor, and instructional excellence.
- Collaboration with Academic & Student Affairs: Work in collaboration with the Associate Dean, Academic & Student Affairs to plan, develop, and implement program goals, objectives, and outcome measures.
- Accreditation Standards: Support the maintenance of standards leading to national and state accreditation of nursing programs.
- Faculty Development: Facilitate faculty development through learning opportunities, mentorship, and support for effective performance in teaching, research, and professional service.
- Coordination of Resources: Coordinate with relevant roles (Associate Dean, Academic & Student Affairs, Assistant Dean, Curriculum & Assessment, Director, Clinical Resources) to ensure effective faculty workload, performance reviews, and programmatic assessments.
- Inter-professional Education: Promote and facilitate faculty engagement in inter-professional education activities within the University and with external constituents.
- Professional Engagement: Encourage faculty participation in local, national, and international organizations to enhance the College's reputation.
- Communication and Collaboration: Correspond internally and externally on faculty affairs matters, promote intra- and inter-department collaboration, and participate in College and University-wide committees.
- Representation: Represent the College, serving as a spokesperson as assigned by the Dean, and assist in resolving inquiries and complaints.

Requirements
What We Are Looking For
To excel in this role, you bring a wealth of experience in academic leadership, a deep understanding of nursing education and an impressive track record of implementing innovative teaching methods.
Minimum Requirements include:
- Master’s degree in nursing from a nationally recognized, accredited institution
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related discipline
- Registered Nurse in the state of Nevada or eligible for licensure
- Prior administrative experience in nursing at a postsecondary educational institution at a level of Assistant Dean, departmental chairperson/coordinator or equivalent administrative position
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in nursing at Baccalaureate level or higher at an accredited postsecondary educational institution
- Prior experience in nursing education accreditation processes
